17. Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children - Terence Stamp
In Star Wars: Only George Lucas would cast General freaking Zod to play the fairly forgettable Galactic Senate Chancellor Valorum. Lucas has compared the character to Bill Clinton, but that implies much more excitement than Stamp was allowed to prize from the part. Unsurprisingly, Stamp called making the film "boring". The New Movie: Tim Burton directs a screen take on Ransom Riggs's 2011 novel, about a young boy (Asa Butterfield) who discovers a mysterious Welsh island which contains the titular orphanage, where he must attempt to stop a fleet of monsters (known as "hollows") from attacking the children who reside there. Stamp plays Abraham Portman, the boy's grandfather who is murdered by one of the hollows at the beginning of the story, kick-starting the fantastical events that follow. It won't be a huge part for Stamp, but it's vital all the same.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
