1. Martin Scorsese: Michael Jackson - "Bad"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsUXAEzaC3Q The daddy of them all. Few artists have such an incredible portfolio of music videos than the late, great Michael Jackson, and one of the most celebrated directors of all-time shot the finest; his singular offering to the platform. The lead single from Jackson's beloved 1987 LP, "Bad" is an intoxicated, aggressive and precision-performed piece which still has as much body and gusto as it did when it debuted back all those years ago. The legendary Martin Scorsese provides intensely engaging direction, capturing the complexities of the choreography with equal guts to the cutting subject matter. Scorsese's career in cinema is quite frankly among the most important. His life's work to preserving the foundations of film and restoring the many greats now lost is admirable enough, but just look at the pictures he has provided us: Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980), Goodfellas (1990), Casino (1995), The Aviator (2004), The Departed (2006), Shutter Island (2010), Hugo (2011), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)...a truly remarkable career which continues to grow much to our luck and pleasure. Sure, Marty only ever provided one music video, but he made the one that we will never, ever forget.
