And finally, it's probably the most influential image from Hollywood action cinema of the last two decades: Neo (Keanu Reeves) dodging an agent's bullet (well, almost) in the Wachowskis' ground-breaking The Matrix.

There's a strong chance you will fondly remember the first time you saw this movie and this sequence in particular, because it was so unlike anything Hollywood had produced before, taking full advantage of state-of-the-art visual effects that still look great today.

It is marvelously well-executed and epitomises the heightened, over-the-top, anime-influenced style the Wachowskis were aiming for. Then Hollywood spent most of the early 2000s copying it and running the style into the ground.
