20 Predictions For 2018's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
6. Ant-Man & The Wasp (86%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "Taking full advantage of the appealing titular pairing, Ant-Man and the Wasp is a visually inventive, hilarious and emotionally resonant improvement over its pint-sized predecessor."
Though Ant-Man was a firmly mid-tier MCU movie that didn't begin to fully exploit its brilliant potential, it scored a strong 82% from critics, and there's every chance that this sequel will build on that firm foundation.
With Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne getting the chance to suit-up, Michelle Pfeiffer playing her long-lost mother Hope, and Hannah John-Kamen playing the antagonist Ghost, this is going to be a rare mega-budget blockbuster overflowing with feminine energy, both good and evil.
If that's not enough, almost all of the original film's surviving cast is returning, while Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast as superhero Black Goliath. If director Peyton Reed can make the sequel look a little less like a TV movie and ditch some of the original's more generic superhero elements, this could be the awesome follow-up everyone is hoping for.
