Though it's still looking likely that this James Cameron-produced $200 million manga adaptation will struggle at the box office, evidence is mounting that it's actually going to turn out pretty solid critically.

While the inconsistent Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Machete) is directing, Cameron is serving as a hands-on producer and has allowed Rodriguez to work from his own storyboards, so there's probably not too much room to go wrong here.
