20 Predictions For 2019's Rotten Tomatoes Scores

1. Star Wars: Episode IX (92%)

Predicted Critical Consensus: "Star Wars: Episode IX provides a richly satisfying and deeply affecting finale to the Skywalker Saga, while delivering the thrilling action sequences fans expect."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi scored 93% and 91% on the Tomatometer respectively, so under the smooth direction of J.J. Abrams, there's no reason to expect any less than 90% here.

It's widely expected that Episode IX will attempt to strike a more crowd-pleasing note than the controversial and daring The Last Jedi, which is perfectly within Abrams' wheelhouse.

Above all else, it'll see a final farewell to the late Carrie Fisher and her iconic Princess Leia, and hopefully close the book on the original legacy once and for all, while nodding towards a future focused entirely on the newer cast.
