15. It Won Two Oscars

Arthur was nominated for four academy awards and walked away with two wins. John Gielgud, who reportedly turned down the role of Hobson several times before finally giving in, won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager, Christopher Cross, and Peter Allen all won the Oscar for Best Original Song ("Artur's Theme"). The film was also nominated for academy awards for Best Actor and Best Writing. Additionally, Arthur won Golden Globe awards for Best Motion Picture, Best Motion Picture Actor (Dudley Moore), Best Motion Picture Actor in a Supporting Role (Gielgud), and Best Original Song in a Motion Picture ("Arthur's Theme").

And I further know that many horrendous movies have had sequels. But how many movies have had both a sequel AND a remake?
