20 Recent Movie Endings EVERYONE Hated

19. Jurassic World Rebirth

Jurassic World Rebirth may not be the worst Jurassic Park movie, but it is the most blandly forgettable, and that holds firm all the way to its utter tasteless nothingburger of an ending.

The survivors' final clash with the Distortus rex concludes with human villain Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend) being eaten, before Zora (Scarlett Johansson) and co. escape in a speedboat while Duncan (Mahershala Ali) stays behind to lure it away, apparently at the cost of his life.

But of course, Duncan is revealed to have somehow survived at the last minute, allowing him to escape the island too, all while Zora agrees to share the acquired biomaterial samples with the world for healthcare research rather than sell them.

And then there's the customary closing rendition of John Williams' iconic title theme to try and make us all feel the warm and fuzzies, despite how fundamentally, agonisingly generic and unimaginative this ending is from top to bottom.

The action, the outcome, the "heartfelt" final moments - it all just feels like reheating Steven Spielberg's leftovers.

Again, this isn't the worst Jurassic Park movie, but it is the one that probably exited your memory banks the quickest, aided by this utterly lackluster, ChatGPT-calibre ending.
