Sometimes it seems like Samuel L Jackson will now appear in literally anything if the price is right, and economic reasons is surely the only rationale for taking a role in Frank Miller's aggressively bad adaptation of Will Eisner's graphic novel.

It has all the style, but is horribly hollow and proves that Miller desperately needs Robert Rodriguez by his side to make a movie.
