20 Star Wars Easter Eggs You Never Noticed

19. Luke's Landspeeder - The Phantom Menace

If you grew up watching the original Star Wars movie, then chances are that - at one point - you've either pined for a replica of Luke's iconic Landspeeder, or you own one. George Lucas decided to pay tribute to everybody's favourite sand-based Star Wars vehicle (this is everybody's favourite sand-based Star Wars vehicle, right?) for a brief moment in Episode I: The Phantom Menance. As Qui-Gon, Jar Jar and Padmé make their way into Mos Espa just before they meet Anakin, you can glimpse the Landspeeder (or "X-34" if you want to get technical) just to the left of the screen. According to the official mythology, this is actually the Landspeeder that Luke will later acquire for his own adventures; it's also supposedly the exact prop that was used in A New Hope all the way back in '77.
