17. Many Crew Members Had No Idea Christian Bale Wasn't American

If you know much at all about Christian Bale's acting process, you'll probably be aware that he tends to maintain his character's accent until production is completed.

To that end, the Wales-born English actor kept up his American accent even while not shooting scenes, and given that Bale wasn't exactly a name commodity back in 1999, many of the crew didn't even realise he wasn't American.

Bale didn't drop his American accent until the movie's wrap party, much to the surprise of many crew members, who at first thought he was simply preparing for his next movie by speaking in an English accent, when it actually turned out to be his natural twang.
