1. "Leaves A Calling Card..."
People sometimes comment/complain that the Nolan Batman films unlike, say, their Marvel contemporaries dont seem interested in little winks and nods to their comic source material. This is arguably bullsht*ck the Nolan movies are
full of direct nods to/lifts from seminal works like Year One, Long Halloween, The Man Who Falls, The Dark Knight Returns but it is true that, for the
most part, the Nolan films have avoided the hey look, Thanos will be in the sequel! scenes that characterize the Marvel films. Oddly enough, Batman Begins, the first film in the series, arguably has the
most "fan service" moments of the trilogy. Small characters like the corrupt Detective Flass and Police Commissioner Loeb are carried over from Year One; Mr. Zsaz, a serial killer who saw a lot of air time in the 90s Batman comics in particular, makes a small appearance as a man who butchers people for the mob; and then theres Batman Begins final scene, where Commissioner Gordon gives Batman a calling card." Not only is the moment an almost direct recreation of the ending of Year One notice the name of the officer who
found the card
