20 Things You Didn't Know About Blade Runner 2049

15. The Corporations Of 2049

Balde Runner 2049
Warner Bros

If you've never heard of the 'Blade Runner Curse,' the theory is that the movie featured several major corporate bodies, Pan Am, Bell Telephone and Atari (the brand name is still in existence, the corporation isn't) that all went bust following the film's release.

Coca-Cola is featured in both movies but unsurprisingly has remained one of the world's most powerful companies.

While these were thriving companies back in the days of the original Blade Runner, they appear even more dystopian in the sequel now they've fallen in popularity in real life.

Denis Villeneuve's 2049 adds a few more companies to the canon. Sony also made it to the future along with Peugeot, so can we expect to see the ruin of these global giants now they've been included in the Blade runner universe?

Only time will tell.
