20 Things You Didn't Know About Christopher Nolan
1. He's Interested In Directing A Bond Film
It's no secret that Nolan is a big of the James Bond franchise, given that several of his films - and none more so than Inception - have featured obvious homages to the iconic spy movie series.
But it goes further than that, as when the director was asked point blank if he'd be interested in actually helming a Bond film in the future, Nolan surprisingly answered in the affirmative. He said:
"Definitely. I've spoken to the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson over the years. I deeply love the character, and I'm always excited to see what they do with it. Maybe one day that would work out. You'd have to be needed, if you know what I mean. It has to need you."
Quite ironically, the recent Sam Mendes-directed Bond films, Skyfall and Spectre, have even taken obvious stylistic cues from Nolan's own Dark Knight Saga, so Nolan would be a snug fit to take the future lead.
Given Nolan's comment that "it has to need you," perhaps it'd make sense for him to helm the first post-Craig Bond movie, ushering in a new era of 007 and allowing other filmmakers to pick up where he leaves off.
