10. Actor Fred Thompson Complained About The Amount Of Profanity

Die Hard 2 Bruce Willis
Fox

Future American senator and Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson plays air traffic flight director Ed Trudeau in the movie, and during shooting Thompson complained to writer Steven E. de Souza about the amount of profanity in the script.

Though de Souza initially assumed that Thompson took umbrage with the swearing due to his own conservative values, it was actually because Thompson felt that the incessantly foul language made the film unintentionally comedic and difficult to take seriously.

After viewing some early dailies, de Souza agreed with Thompson's assessment, and agreed to excise some of the more excessively blue wordplay from the rest of the movie.
