7. Tyler And Marla Have Bullet Time Sex

Now, everyone knows that Pitt and Carter took three days recording the sex noises that echo horribly throughout the Paper Street house and bug the hell out of Jack. As Pitt puts it:

That was just HBC and I, sitting in a room, screaming our guts out. The sad thing is we had no qualms about it, no politeness, no little hint of embarrassment... just go!

What you might not know, however, is that the sex scene is computer generated, or at least shot and enhanced. In fact, it was created using the same revolutionary 'bullet time' technique pioneered by The Matrix, which had come out in June that same year.

Still cameras had been set up to surround the bed, each recording a single image in sequence, which were then edited together and enhanced with CG. That’s right: Pitt and Bonham Carter were wearing early versions of mo-cap suits during shooting, gamely re-enacting positions from the Kama Sutra with dots all over them.

Apparently this represents the first photorealistic CGI sex scene in film. Which is nice.
