Tom Hanks' 11-year-old daughter Elizabeth has a small cameo in the movie, as a young red-headed girl who refuses to give young Forrest (Michael Conner Humphreys) a seat next to her on the bus.

You probably remember the distinctive-looking young girl in the movie, though would you ever guess she was Hanks' daughter?

Though she didn't ever embark on a full-time acting career, Elizabeth did also make a cameo in her father's directorial debut two years later, That Thing You Do! (as "Bored Girl in Dress Shop").

She's not the only child of the cast and crew to make it into the scene, though: Robert Zemeckis' son Alexander also appears as the boy who tells Forrest, "Seat's taken."
