18. Richard Matheson Wrote What He Thought Was A Good Draft

I Am Legend and Twilight Zone scribe Richard Matheson wrote the first serious script, involving a large shark that swam upstream and got stuck in a lake, going on a rampage. But by the time the actual script was doctored, altered and authored, it may have had Matheson's name attached to it, but he had little to nothing to do with the finished product.

The studio wanted Matheson to include the sons of the protagonist of the first two films, Sheriff Brody, which he thought "was dumb".
