The film's final scene takes place at Stoke Park Country Club, with XXXX celebrating a job well done while his pals Terry (Tamer Hassan), Morty, Gene (Colm Meaney), and Clarkie (Tom Hardy) toast him as their new boss.

On the director's commentary, Vaughn confirmed that the scene was inspired by the climax of The Godfather, where Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) finally accept his place as Don Corleone.

And looking at the scene, the influence is obvious, from the 70s-style telephoto zoom shot of XXXX standing outside the dining room to the Italian-styled operatic music, and the sheer reverence with which everyone now holds XXXX.

But of course, the story ultimately had other plans for XXXX.
