20 Things You Didn't Know About Mad Max: Fury Road
1. There’s More To Come
This one should make great reading for one Aaron Clarey: like a female James Bond, Furiosa will return.
In fact, Miller originally intended on shooting Mad Max: Fury Road and its sequel Mad Max: Furiosa back-to-back and planned on producing a Furiosa sequel in anime form:
“As part of this digging down deep, we did write backstories, so we were going to do an anime based on the Furiosa character. That exists. And we’ve written two other stories for Max, about how he got to where he is, how he got to be that wild animal trapped in that mask.”
In light of Fury Road’s rapturous reception, it seems increasingly likely that there will be further instalments in the saga of The Road Warrior, though it remains to be seen what form these adventures will take.
If George Miller’s latest effort is anything to go by, the pleasure will be all ours.
