5. Jayne’s Gun Was Named After A Fan Of The Series
According to Adam Baldwin, Jayne’s mini-gun gun is called “Lux”. This is based on LuxLucre, which is the message board handle of devoted fan Kerry Pearson.
Pearson was best known for creating fan art featuring the characters from Firefly and South Park in a cartoon style.
This is a nice tribute to Pearson, who died from complications of diabetes before the film premiered.
