20 Things You Didn't Know About Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith

19. A Young Han Solo Almost Had A Cameo

One of Lucas' earlier ideas for the script saw an appearance by a 10-year-old Han Solo during the Battle of Kashyyyk. Han would be depicted as an orphan raised by Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), and be shown helping Yoda (Frank Oz) track down General Grievous.

His single line of dialogue was apparently thus: "I found part of a transmitter droid near the east bay. I think it's still sending and receiving signals."

It would've been a majorly significant cameo in confirming who raised Han as a child and also giving audiences the series' only scene between Han and Yoda.

But for whatever reason, Lucas nixed the scene before shooting started, and considering how excessively fan-serving it would've been, it was probably for the best. We finally saw a younger albeit adult Han, of course, in 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story.
