While shooting Revenge of the Sith, Lucas also decided to film a scene for another Star Wars project entirely. For the impending 2004 home video re-release of the original trilogy, Lucas reshot the Emperor's introduction-by-hologram from The Empire Strikes Back with Ian McDiarmid instead.
