7. Jessica Biel & Rooney Mara Screen-Tested For Catwoman

Unsurprisingly, the role of Catwoman was heavily sought after by some of Hollywood's biggest actresses, with the likes of Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, Kate Mara, Gemma Arterton, Jessica Biel, Blake Lively, Lady Gaga, and Charlotte Riley all auditioning for the part.

But only three actresses were actually invited to screen test, with the final decision coming down to Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, and Kate Mara.

Considering that Hathaway is undeniably the most accomplished actress of the three and Mara is probably a little too youthful to convincingly play Christian Bale's love interest - despite being the same age as Hathaway - Nolan clearly made the right decision.
