17. The Skeleton Inside The Coffin Clock Was Real

According to writer Richard O'Brien - who also played Riff Raff in the movie - the skeleton inside the coffin-clock was actually a real human skeleton.

Better still, it was apparently the skeleton of the woman who commissioned the clock's construction. Spooky.

As for the clock itself, in 2002 it was eventually auctioned off by Sotheby's, where it sold for £35,000 to a private buyer.

The clock is apparently sought-after enough that dubious duplicates have shown up in random places around the world over the years, such as a New Jersey mom-and-pop store.

No word on where the skeleton ended up, though.
