His role as nightclub bouncer Francis in John Wick is brief but memorable, as it quickly sells Wick's reputation as an intimidating and dangerous man that is not meant to be trifled with.
The quick exchange between the two goes beyond simple pleasantries, as Francis' reveal that he lost weight (27 kilograms) was a coded message meant to indicate the number of armed bodyguards that John would eventually have to take out to get to Iosef.
This was confirmed by Nash himself at a fan event, where he also mentioned that Francis' cooperation with John led to the latter sparing his life.
