20 Things You Somehow Missed In Alfred Hitchcock Movies
5. A Kid Pre-Empts The Gun Shot - North By Northwest
North by Northwest is one of Hitchcock’s most action-packed movies, complete with low-flying crop dusters and intense chases across famous landmarks.
So much happens that it’s hard to keep up with every little detail woven underneath the adventure. But there is one moment which clearly wasn’t planned as a young extra almost gives away what’s going to happen next.
At the Mount Rushmore visitor centre, when Eve pulls out a gun from her purse, a boy wearing a blue plaid shirt puts his fingers in his ears in anticipation of the gun being fired.
After it goes off, the boy has no reaction and other extras are clearly unfazed by the sound.
