11. The Facehugger Is Real (Sort Of)

While its extra-terrestrial counterpart might be the most famous assortment of latex seen away from Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman costume, the facehugger's innards were actually comprised almost entirely of real organs and... bits.

When conducting the autopsy scene, the model used for the dead crawlie is composed of a seafood assortment featuring some shellfish and a load of spoiled oysters, as well as the pièce de résistance, an actual sheep's heart. There's other stuff in there as well but, frankly, I don't want to think about it anymore.
