20 Things You Somehow Missed In Avengers: Infinity War
The best MCU movie goes even deeper than you realised.
It feels ridiculous to say it, but it has been five whole years since the release of Avengers: Infinity War. It certainly doesn't feel like that long ago since Thanos snapped his big, purple fingers, and you could argue that the franchise has been on a steady decline ever since.
Avengers: Endgame was one hell of a spectacle, as was Spider-Man: No Way Home, but neither can quite match Avengers: Infinity War, and it's hard to imagine that anything in the future will. This was absolutely the peak of Marvel Studios' storytelling.
As the culmination of 11 previous years of countless characters and storylines, Infinity War brought everything together better than anyone could have imagined for a truly epic movie. It's almost unfathomable how much was packed into the 150-minute run time, with so much flying under the radar and going unnoticed by so many.
From character costume choices, subtle scores, potential plot holes, and the fact that Wong showed exactly how to defeat Thanos before the movie ever got out of its first act, it is utterly impossible to catch everything that the Russo brothers built into what is one of the greatest comic book movies of all time.
20. The Reaction Of Doctor Strange's Cloak
Avengers: Infinity War did a quite incredible job of bringing together almost every living hero in MCU history into one movie. Of course, some enjoyed more spotlight and screen time than others, but there was one character that went somewhat under the radar.
One such character has been an important ally to Doctor Strange ever since it saved him from Kaecilius in the Sanctum Sanctorum. This, of course, is Strange's cloak, and it is a being of pure comedy value.
In Doctor Strange's first solo movie, the cloak dragged the Sorcerer to the right weapon at the right time, and wiped his tears away. In Infinity War it slapped Tony Stark's hand away from the Cauldron of the Cosmos, but there was a whole joke made of this. You couldn't miss it. What was more subtle was the cloak's reaction to a conversation between Tony Stark and Peter Parker.
When Spider-Man revealed himself to still be on board Thanos' ship, he actually suggested that it was Tony's fault. It doesn't seem possible, but somehow the cloak pulled exactly the same shocked expression as Tony in the moment, and it is too funny not to acknowledge.
