Later in the movie, Biff's great-grandfather Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson) is knocked into a wagon of manure and arrested by Marshal Strickland's (James Tolkan) Deputy.

The Deputy announces that Buford is under arrest for "robbing the Pine City Stage," yet at the moment that the charge is read, the shot cuts away from the Deputy to a reverse shot of Doc and Marty.

The reason for this? Buford was originally arrested for killing Marshal Strickland - a scene which was included on the home video release but cut from the final film due to being too dark.

As a result, the Deputy's original proclamation wouldn't fit with the adjusted plot, and so the actor playing the Deputy was called in to deliver new dialogue during post-production.
