20 Things You Somehow Missed In Blade Runner

Blade Runner
Warner Bros.

Said "layering" of Scott's movies didn't just stop with a brief commentary on globalisation and national identity, it was also used to illustrate rising violence and humanity's gradual slide towards lawlessness. As the lives of those in power becomes more opulent (Tyrell literally lives in a giant pyramid looking down on the world), those at the bottom are forced to scramble for what little remains.

A bus in the movie carries the warning "Driver is Armed; Carries No Cash", to show that even something as simple as transportation can be riddled with danger. Even the sets parking meters are labelled "WARNING - DANGER! You Can Be Killed By Internal Electrical System If This Meter Is Tampered With".
