20 Things You Somehow Missed In Guardians Of The Galaxy

Fans quite rightly lost their damn minds when it became clear that Rocket Raccoon looked set to reunite with his comic book love interest Lylla in the upcoming Volume 3, as seemingly revealed in the flick's various trailers heading into the trilogy-ending entry.

But this isn't actually the first time Lady Lylla has been referenced in the MCU, with Rocket's otter soulmate initially appearing in that aforementioned rap sheet rundown sequence as one of the abused and experimented on anti-hero's associates.

The fact Gunn was able to lace this blink-and-you'll-miss-it nugget of background detail that will eventually be paid off a whopping near-decade later is pretty darn impressive, I'm sure you'll agree.

So, here's hoping that Lylla's official on-screen debut eventually brings with it something resembling a happy ending for the long-suffering raccoon icon. Or maybe their reuniting will simply act as the last flicker of joy in Rocket's life before making the ultimate sacrifice for his pals.
