2. The Debate Over How Many Steps Bill Takes
Beatrix and Bill's surprisingly brief final fight wraps up when Beatrix hits Bill with the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique, meaning Bill will drop dead once he takes five more steps.
And so, Bill indeed dies after buttoning up his jacket and slowly taking those steps, but the scene immediately kickstarted an argument among viewers over how many steps Bill actually takes.
Though the legend dictates that it's five, many believe that Bill actually makes it to six steps before keeling over. It basically comes down to whether or not you deem Bill moving his stance counts as a step, in which case he appears to step six times, or whether that's not a "true" step.
To the "six step truthers," it might suggest that Bill was enough of a badass to resist the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique for an additional step, while others see it as simply reading too much into the scene.
