20 Things You Somehow Missed In Kill Bill Volume 2

16. The Meaning Behind Bill's Car

Kill Bill Volume 2
Miramax

Early in the film when Bill pays a visit to Budd at his home, we can see Bill's car parked nearby, with Tarantino lingering on the distinctive-looking vehicle in a number of shots.

This specific car was chosen for good reason, though - it's a De Tomaso Mangusta, with mangusta meaning "mongoose" in Italian. And what are mongooses best known for?

That's right, being the animal most capable of killing snakes, aided by the fact that they're one of the few creatures in the animal kingdom with a natural resistance to snake venom.

Given that Beatrix is of course a former member of the DiVAs with the codename "Black Mamba," it's all too fitting that Bill is driving a mongoose.
