With so much impressive talent taking up the frames in the closing stages of Vaughn's pulsating felony-filled feature, more than a few folks found themselves overlooking one of arguably the most obvious knowing references of the lot... even when it was sitting right underneath those very stars' noses.

As Craig's XXXX and the gang, including Tom Hardy's Clarkie, all gather around a table on the back of the leading light being officially welcomed to the underworld Layer Cake by Michael Gambon's Eddie Temple, the crew enjoy a lunch together inside of Stoke Park Country Club. And what is being feasted upon by the collection of criminal minds? None other than a no doubt delicious and well-crafted layered cake for their pleasure.
