20 Things You Somehow Missed In Shutter Island

2. Teddy's "Dead" Daughter Visibly Moves

Shutter Island
Paramount Pictures

At the very end of the movie, the truth is revealed to Teddy, who experiences a horrific vision of the aftermath of Dolores drowning their three children.

Teddy removes the kids from the lake and lays their bodies on the shore, yet if you look closely, you can actually see the actress portraying the daughter breathing and moving her eyes underneath her eyelids.

Granted, this sort of mistake is easier to accept in a surreal scene such as this where reality isn't on an even keel anyway, but even so, Scorsese evidently didn't catch the gaffe during shooting.

The lesson here? Playing dead is way harder than it looks, and that probably goes double if you're a kid.
