20 Things You Somehow Missed In Solo: A Star Wars Story

15. A Similar Story To The Bad Batch

The Star Wars franchise has been alive since 1977, though it has never been saturated as it has been in recent years. With the sequel trilogy and two anthology movies releasing within a five-year stretch, as well as almost countless Disney+ series either releasing or in the works, there is more Star Wars around today than ever before.

With that being the case, it's almost expected that some stories will be similar. Though not identical, there are themes and threads throughout certain narratives within the Star Wars universe that are ridiculously similar. This has happened with Solo and The Bad Batch.

The two almost couldn't be further away from each other on the Star Wars enjoyment scale. Fans were generally disappointed with Solo, but can't get enough of Clone Force 99. This hasn't stopped them both going through almost exactly the same story, in that they tried to steal something for themselves but ultimately gave it to their rivals for the greater good.

In The Bad Batch, it was a tactical droid head that they initially fought Trace and Rafa for, before handing it over to them voluntarily, while Han Solo battled Enfys for the valuable Coaxium almost all movie long before allowing her to leave with the hyper fuel as a means of the greater good. The story of episode six of The Bad Batch is eerily similar to this particular piece of the Solo story.
