Though the film has been widely lauded for its ground-breaking, Oscar-winning visual effects, several of the film's marquee sequences were actually achieved with a basic practical element - twins.

For the memorable scene in which Pescadero security guard Lewis (Don Stanton) gets impaled by a T-1000 imitation of himself, Cameron simply used Stanton's twin brother Dan to play the double.

But Cameron truly outdid himself elsewhere, by using Linda Hamilton's late sister Leslie as her T-1000 double late in the movie, and also for that ingenious deleted scene in which the T-800's chip is reset.
