The photographer's pictures then appear in a subsequent scene where the police show the photos to Sarah Connor, hoping to learn something from her prior encounter with the T-800.

However, on the left are surveillance pictures from the police station which the Terminator massacred in the first film, yet in actual fact these images weren't taken from the original movie at all.

Due to no such images being available, Cameron staged a "reshoot" of sorts, having a minor hallway set built, dressing Arnold Schwarzenegger in his attire from the first film and having him re-stage the scene, allowing the director to take some photos.

The giveaways for those looking closely are Schwarzenegger's hair style and facial structure, both of which have changed slightly between 1984 and 1991. Still, a damn fine effort that 99% of viewers wouldn't even think twice about.
