One of the film's more memorable subplots involves Stanley being pushed around and ripped off by a pair of shady auto mechanics, but if you pay close attention to their shop when Stanley first enters it, it might look a little familiar.

Why indeed, that's the firehouse from Ghostbusters, which also happens to be a real former fire station situated in Downtown Los Angeles called Fire Station No. 23.

Its prominent use in Ghostbusters made it a popular shooting location for many major movies throughout the rest of the 1980s and 1990s, including not only The Mask but also Police Academy 2, Flatliners, and National Security among others.
