Darth Vader may have very little left that resembles humanity, both mentally and physically, but the lack of real hands is actually a bit more limiting for Vader than you might realise.

Ever wondered why Vader isn't ever seen using Palpatine's favourite party trick, Force Lightning, at any point in the series? Even in the video games, Vader is totally incapable of generating a spark from his fingertips.

It's nothing to do with no practice, or no tuition: Force users can only generate Force Lightning from real hands.

Choking, pushing, pulling, influencing and other such things are perfectly doable through the Force for Vader, but he'd probably electrocute himself if he attempted to shock anyone else, thus knackering his suit and killing him off anyway.
