20 Worst Best Picture Film Nominees Since 2010

14. Ford Vs. Ferrari

Bohemian Rhapsody
Fox

Ford Vs. Ferrari (released as Le Mans 66 in the UK... for some reason) is a movie that got nominated for Best Picture without anyone actually knowing why. The reviews were very good but not over-the-moon positive and the film didn't have an overwhelming amount of momentum elsewhere during awards season, so it was very surprising when this actually made it in.

Furthermore, when you look at the overall film, it's even harder to see how this happened. Ford Vs. Ferrari is a good, solid film, but ideally any movie that gets nominated for this most prestigious of awards should be better than just 'solid'.

Ford Vs. Ferrari is a competent drama with strong production values and good acting, but it's also fairly predictable, drags on for far too long and only really gets the pulse racing during the admittedly awesome racing sequences. In general, this is a movie that just doesn't really stand out that much.

By a long way, this is one of the most downright forgettable Best Picture nominees of that decade and while it's definitely not the worst Best Picture nominee since 2010, it's certainly one of the most inexplicable.
