20 Worst DCEU Movie Moments (So Far)

8. The Helicopter Crash - Suicide Squad

Man of Steel Dumb
Warner Bros.

This ridiculous scene is yet another poorly-written and badly edited moment from Suicide Squad.

The logic gaps here are numerous. For example, in this scene Harley Quinn is trying to escape with the Joker (Jared Leto) via helicopter and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) encourages Deadshot (Will Smith) to shoot Harley Quinn. Deadshot shoots at her and deliberately misses, but Harley Quinn briefly plays dead to fool them. How did she know when to do this given how far away from Deadshot she was?

After the helicopter crashes, Harley survives but the Joker apparently doesn't... until, of course, he turns up completely unscathed at the end of the movie. How did he survive this? Why wasn't his survival at least hinted at? It's moments like this which prove Suicide Squad is one of the worst-edited films of recent years.

This was also a terrible fake-out death that took the already under-used Joker out of the film for even longer.
