20 Worst Movie Moments Of The Decade

3. The Devil Inside - Weblink

Movie 43 Hugh Jackman
Paramount Pictures

Found Footage horror films were everywhere in the early 2010s, largely thanks to the success of the Paranormal Activity films, and nearly all of them sucked, but The Devil Inside was probably the worst of the bunch. It's painfully un-scary, flatly written, formulaic as hell and in general wildly incompetent, but the thing which really makes this so unforgettable (in a bad way) is the ending.

At the film's conclusion, protagonist Isabella is possessed while in a car and the car crashes, killing the film's cameraman and a priest they were allied with, before the film cuts to black and ends with the an inter-title saying the case is still unresolved and directing viewers to a website. And... yeah, that's it.

Was there ever a lazier, more insulting movie ending? To be quite honest, probably not. Sadly, this movie was incredibly successful at the box office, meaning all those people who went to see it not only wasted their money but had their patience rewarded with this, which was pretty much the equivalent of the studio giving viewers the finger.

To rub salt in the wound, the website isn't even active anymore.
