3. The Last Days Of American Crime

The Last Days of American Crime is a soul-destroying testament to what can happen when Netflix gives a terrible filmmaker carte blanche to just... do their thing.

Hack director Olivier Megaton (Taken 3) was hired to helm this limp, stamina-obliterating action-thriller based on the 2009 graphic novel of the same name.

Because Netflix typically isn't in the business of giving their directors notes or forcing their hand during post-production, Megaton's final cut of the movie was a brutal 149 minutes - and boy, you'll feel every single one of them.

While the dystopian setup has timely promise, Karl Gajdusek's script is so leaden, so jam-packed with eyeroll-worthy dialogue, and largely so indifferently performed by the cast, that this becomes an actively irritating exercise in tormenting the audience.

It's a movie that'll leave you weary and annoyed by the end - mostly that you've spent a good chunk of your day sitting through it. Absolute dreck.
