20 WTF Moments From Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

16. It Unintentionally Mocks Jurassic World's Heels Controversy

Rogue Nation was obviously in production long before the Jurassic World heels controversy ever became a thing, with Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire wearing her high heels through thick and thin, even when she's being chased by a T-Rex. This film, for all its faults, has a perfect answer to that silliness, by showing Ilsa removing her heels not once, but twice: firstly, she takes her shoes off while still posing as one of Lane's henchmen during the opening London fight scene, and in Vienna, she asks Ethan to remove her heels for her. It's just beautiful timing and nothing more, but it's hard not to see the film's approach to female footwear and compare it to Jurassic World's rather nonsensical one.
