The trend of re-using movie props in other films has been a long and storied one, and the pleasure in spotting Freddy Krueger's glove in Evil Dead II, or that the gold coins in The Goonies reappear in Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull is some of the best Easter Egg hunting fans can experience. The first Batman movie plays on the same pleasure, as the surgical tools that are used to fix the Joker's face are the same tools used by Steve Martin's maniacal dentist in Little Shop Of Horrors. It may be no more than coincidence - though it probably isn't - but the original The Little Shop Of Horrors starred Jack Nicholson in the role of the dentist's patient. So he was effectively terrorised twice by the same equipment.
