Iron Man 2 concludes with Nick Fury informing Tony Stark that due to his volatile personality, he'll simply be kept on as a S.H.I.E.L.D. consultant rather than a card-carrying member.

During the conversation, however, a digital map is visible in the background, and though Jon Favreau keeps it out of focus for the entire scene, it's clear that a marker of interest has been placed in Africa.

This is most definitely a nod to the existence of Wakanda, which while not introduced in the MCU until last year's Captain America: Civil War, was evidently something of a consideration in the franchise's earlier stages.

Favreau confirmed on Iron Man 2's commentary that the country was indeed intended to be Wakanda, but depending on how strong your combined knowledge of geography and comic book lore is, this one's easily missed.
