21. Nicholas Flamel
Of course every Harry Potter fan knows this name but he was actually based on a real life muggle. Flamel was a French scholar and alchemist who believed that he has found the secret behind immortality the discovery of the Philosopher's Stone. Flamel reportedly died in 1418 but folklore gossips suggest that his coffin was empty: after all, how could someone who discovered the Elixir of Life truly die? He was supposedly seen at the opera some 300 years later in Paris. It is unconfirmed if he also had a three headed dog guarding his stone.
