22 Things You Didn't Know About James Bond

8. Bond Is A Killer (ii)

The Guardian recently published a lovely infographic, in the style of the Dr No title sequence, lovingly enumerating the body-counts in the various films. In total 196 deaths occur in You Only Live Twice, making it the most blood-soaked entry by this reckoning, with The Spy Who Loved Me second with 147. But Bond is only responsible for a small proportion of those. The movie in which Bond has the most kills is 1995€™s GoldenEye €“ Pierce Brosnan€™s first outing €“ in which he killed 47. In fact Brosnan is the most bloodthirsty Bond by a considerable margin, with a total of 135 kills over four movies. Neither Roger Moore nor Sean Connery, with many more movies each, can stack corpses higher than 100. The least deadly film is The Man with the Golden Gun, in which Bond kills only Scaramanga, and only five other deaths occur.
